Can you work ergonomically on a Mirrix loom?

Yes, Mirrix looms are designed with ease of use and ergonomics in mind. Thanks to the upright frame and adjustable height (in combination with the Harvey stand), you can work comfortably while sitting or standing.
The vertical design ensures a natural hand and arm position, which is ideal for longer weaving sessions without tension in the neck or shoulders.

Use the Harvey stand to perfectly adjust your working height to your sitting position or to work standing up.

The Mirrix Shedding device is very interesting for weavers for several reasons:

  • Increased Speed and Efficiency: The system automatically lifts and lowers groups of warp threads, creating an opening (the ‘shed’). This allows the weaver to pass the weft thread through with one quick motion, which is much faster than manually separating the threads.

  • Reduced Physical Strain: This is a major ergonomic advantage. The system minimizes the constant manual manipulation required for separating threads. This relieves stress on the hands and wrists, making weaving more comfortable, especially during long sessions or for people with physical conditions.

  • Great Versatility: The shedding device works exceptionally well with various materials, such as beads, delicate fibers, and different types of yarn. It is suitable for both small miniature works and larger tapestries.

  • Ideal for All Skill Levels: Although it seems like an advanced accessory, it is surprisingly easy for beginners to learn and is indispensable for experienced weavers who want to streamline their process.

Certainly! In our shop, you will find useful tools such as needles and scissors. You will also find extensions for the looms we offer.

Of course! Did you notice any damage upon delivery? Send us an email with a photo to info@mirrix.eu and we will work with you to find a solution.
Mirrix Looms: 1-year warranty. If your item is defective within the first year, we will replace or repair it free of charge within that year.
