Description
What do extension rods do?
These extension rods (also called loom extenders) are attached to the standard side rods of your Mirrix loom to increase the weaving length.
This creates extra weaving length, ideal for long projects like belts.
Which looms are they compatible with?
There are custom versions for the following looms: Loreli, Lani, Little Guy, Big Sister and Zach.
| Loom model | Added weaving length | Rod length | Includes |
| 5″ Loreli | 60 cm | 30 cm | – |
| 8″ Lani | 60 cm | 30 cm | extended foot support |
| 12″ Little Guy | 60 cm | 30 cm | footrest extenders |
| 16″ Big Sister | 60 cm | 30 cm | footrest extenders |
| 22″ Zach | 33 cm | 16,5 cm | footrest extenders |
Note: weaving lengths are based on continuous warp use.
How do you use the extension rods?
You mount them onto the side rods of your loom.
For some models, extra feed extenders are included to maintain stability. You weave just as you’re used to, but with more length!
For example, if you’re using the Loreli, you can place the loom flat on a table or use it on your lap. You can also attach it to the Harvey stand.
Why not just buy a bigger loom?
This add-on lets you:
- save space and money
- extend your current loom
- avoid buying a larger one
Perfect if you occasionally weave large pieces.
