Extra Warp Coils (Springs) for Mirrix Looms

Description

When do you need extra springs?

If you want to adjust your loom’s warp spacing, or if your current spring is worn out, these extra warp coils (springs) are the solution.

These extra warp coils (springs) are compatible with all Mirrix looms.

Available coil sizes

Each spring is designed for a specific warp sett:

Dent spacing	Recommended for
2 dents/cm	bulky yarns, large sheds
3 dents/cm	standard textured warp
4 dents/cm	small tapestry projects
5 dents/cm	fine yarns, detailed work
5.5 dents/cm	in-between fine and very fine
6.5 dents/cm	ultra-fine work
7 dents/cm	standard for shedding device looms
8 dents/cm	ultra-fine warps, bead weaving

 

All springs are coated at the ends and easy to install.

 

How to use these springs?

You attach the extra springs between the top and/or bottom beam of your Mirrix loom.

The springs help keep your warp threads evenly spaced and properly tensioned.

All Mirrix looms from model Lani and up include a top beam with one default spring (5.5 dents/cm).

Does your loom already have springs?

If your loom has no springs yet, then we recommend starting with the Bottom Spring Kit.

It includes

• 1 holder (for top or bottom use)
• 4 standard springs (3, 5, 5.5 and 7 dents/cm)

 

Once installed, you can add other coil sizes as needed.

 

Are springs included with new looms?

Yes they are. All shedding device models (Lani, Little Guy, Big Sister, Zach, Joni, Zeus and Lily) come with 4 top beam springs: 3, 5, 5.5 and 7 dents per cm.
