Description
The stretcher is a useful tool for novice weavers, helping them to maintain even tension in the warp threads and, consequently, the border. It is also ideal for maintaining an even width throughout your weaving, but you can also use it to create slight variations in width.
It comes in a range of sizes, each accommodating a fabric width of between 5 and 10 cm.
Set the width holder to your desired finished fabric width and secure it in place with the pins at the ends. This enables you to regularly check that your weave is maintaining the same width by placing it on a new piece of woven fabric periodically.
Widths available are 15–20 cm, 20–27 cm, 25–32 cm, 30–43 cm and 40–60 cm.
The adjustment interval is 8 mm each time.
